Spent the last 2 days getting this work done...
was up all of last nite, just to get some spannering work done and worked all day until now, the list includes but not limited to is:
Replaced the steering rack with new one
stripped the engine bay completely including rad, head, manifold, master cylinders, wiring, wiper motor, etc etc, for grinding and prep work ready for new lick of paint and primer, (now painted

)
Ripped up the inside carpet ready for new ones, which involved removing the seats..
Replaced the front two brake hoses..
installed hi lows in front
installed a electronic kit in this dissy to replace the worn points
Removed and cleaned the upper control arms throughly and inspected, then packed full of new grease, and new knuckle joints and boots..
A new double row timing chain fitted replacing the single stretched one,
A new high flow water pump fitted..
The head taken off, stripped completely and has been sitting in mollasses, (pulled it out today) and its done an awesome job, nice rust free water jacket now

Cleaned and painted the stater motor, dissy, pulleys, engine steadys, and other small bits..
Radiator is just about back in now..
then head will be reassembled, and valves lapped and seated with better springs this time.. then painted of the head will begin, new master cylinders to be attached and the pipework, brakes to be bled, clutch to be bled, rust convert the floors, then installation of new carpet and seats to go back in,, then dash will come off for new 4 inch speakers to replace the crackling ones,,
hmm what else,,,oh obviously the head to go back on,,, and that will do me I think before the aussie day run..
Just a tad of work done
Saves me having to worry about it all on the side of the road on my 6,000km trip next month..
