Don't bother trying with the 78xx series, just use a LM317 and a couple of resistors and caps. I did this to a Mini K I had back in the '90's. My 2c worth! :lol:

Yr probably right, but too many parts! KISS principal is what I like and NO I'm not being Gay.

IMO, considering the application it doesn't need to be THAT precision!

I made one to Wombat specifications with a 317 a year or two ago, is Don 8)
