My light has gone out in just the tacho only.. Do these take a bulb? or could it be a loose wiring?

I've pulled the surround off, but not sure where to go from there..I think there are screws that hold the whole thing on the dash, but to get at the souce of the light..I don't know..

any help?

it would be much easier to fix if you pulled the whole cluster out.

On the back of the gauge/cluster you have little black holders (about 5 or 6 in total). Just pull the one out behind that tacho and see if the bulb is blown. The bulbs come out of the holders of course. Swap them around to see whether or not it is the bulb or wiring.

Be careful removing/replacing those bulb holders- it's pretty fragile how they contact the PCB strip..

the 'printed circuit' joint between the fuel/temp pod and the tacho pod is very fragile. It could be that this part of your printed curcuit has perished on yours....which means that tacho light won't illuminate

Yep Yep i'm sure ALL Clubby owners have spotted this.

Its at the bottom of the speedo, and is tinted red.
I dont think theres a globe behind it - so what is it?
Its like the high beam thing, but red, and at the bottom of the speedo.

Anyone?
