I have a cam here with .255 lift on inlet and exhaust , any idea what it is?
Cant see any stamped numbers on it.

What width are the lobes, are there any rings on it (how many) and what type of oil pump drive?

The cam lobes are not 1.090" wide, they are either 3/8" or 1/2" wide. Measured along the cam.....

Sorry for the confusion Ive never measured a cam before, My background is computer science so bare with me. also I struggle with imperial measurements it just doesn't fit into my youthful world and sterile decimal computing career. :oops:

Well you'd better remember that Minis do NOT have metric threads. Except for the spark plugs..

But don't worry too much about buying imperial spanners as most metric spanners fit. :D But not the other way around...imperial wont fit metric :( unless it's a shifter :lol:

The 997 Cooper got the GOOD cam, (16/56-51/21) they should have kept it for the 998 too.
