Hi all, thought that I'd put up a few pics of the Equipe Arden 1969 british saloon car champion.
The car was sold to Jim Carney for his wife Mary to use and has been here in NZ since late 69, the car has under gone a 3 year resto and is now with Lynn Rogers having the origional 999cc arden 8 port, TJ injection engine fitted.
Cheers Paul.

I've been watching this one from the begining here:

http://mk1-forum.net/viewtopic.php?f=5& ... lit=equipe

Attention to detail and the huge effort to reproduce exactly the 'right' car is phenomenal.

Congratulations Austin Costin!!

One of my top 5 favorite Mini's

I'm only looking at pics in this thread at the momemt but I have a 2 question

Pipes from the Brake master are going to the booster inside where the heater would normally be, but the question as it would be behind the exhaust would it not boil during racing mode. but what it the hose/pipe which has the tap on the other side is this for the front wet suspention to dial it in

Some of the turbo boys have dump pipes that rub within an inch of the master cylinders and dont have boiling problems (see pristics turbo clubby)

I imagine a turbo dump pipe gets hotter than the exhaust?
Could be talking out my ass, but no one seems to have issues boiling fluid

Brake servo is behind front bulkhead and spaced out about 3" so remains as hot as your left foot would ! The taps were put in place to stop the displacement of the hydro units, it would almost make the suspension "dry"
No pics of the car finished with the engine as yet unfortunatly.
