Just a heads up.
Today my good friend was assembling my new gearbox for Slidey when he discovered a problem. The new competition layshaft was bent! 20thou run out.
I bought this as a gearbox rebuild kit from Minispares a few months ago. So be carefull when ordering stuff and check everything when it arrives.
:(

I had a bent Minispares one, but it was some years ago.
Their layshafts are supposed to be good (ie, hard) now but I'm still using my stock of Oz made ones [edit] made by Heritage MG.

The UK has lost their ability to do 'engineering' in recent years. The quality of so many machined components is not what it should be.
