Hi all.

For greasing under the car is it a case of one type or do I need a couple.

Eg trailing arms, upper arms, ball joints etc..

There should be a general purpose grease for cars etc which will be fine for all your suspension and remote gearchange linkages etc.

Just for wheelbearings and cv joints it is best to use a special purpose grease for that application. As in wheelbearing grease, and molybdenum(spelling?) which is for cv joints

For wheel bearings and CV's I do use the correct type of grease (HTB or High melting point, high pressure).

It sounds like you just mean regular service interval type grease? If that is the case 'EP2' will be fine. That's all I have in my grease gun.

Yes general grease under the car. Non wheel bearings or CV's. All the nipples for service including the ball joints, top arms and rear arms etc.

Thanks.

Blue grease is lithium (generally) my brand is Mobil Supergrease (or whatever it's now called).
It's fine for all grease nipple points, even wheel bearings. I've had it in my front hubs for about 80,000miles now. But NOT for use in CVs or pot joints... they need Castrol LMM molygrease or similar.

No the gun sat for a while and is dripping blue oil... I walked through the kitchen holding it the other day not realising it was dripping..... Not popular with the missus... :?
