So much for trying not to break your engine again :P

How'd you go?

I'm not trying to break it - but I do want to compete still, just not as much as last year

as for how I went, not well! grass + open diff + big torque = too much wheelspin

my mate Rod in his GR prepped 1098 with ATB diff wiped the floor with me

I gave mine a pat on the roof when I got home from a weekend away racing my other toy - a human-powered vehicle.

Fitted the head to the engine, torqued it down.
New water pump fitted.
Finished the rebuild of the carb during the week.
Will adjust the valve clearances in next day or so.
Fitted the distributor, will need to move it clockwise to allow for combined oil line and oil light switch.
Provisionally fitted generator.
Fitted oil bypass line and oil filter.
The little bags of parts are getting less and less.
Should be able to put the engine and power train back in during the next two weekends.
Then start her for the first time in three years.

picked up re-trimmmed lowback moke seats.... very nom!

also, paint was finished last week, have to go around and re-blacken all the black bits as we still got a little overspray on it, no bother, all the black is on with a brush anyways  hopefully engine and brakes arrive this week so i can re-assemble over the next 2 weeks or so.

I put a buzzer on the indicators in the moke. That was fun.
One of those 5min jobs that took 3hrs by the time I fixed a few other things I came across.
