Hi, hope someone can help me thanks, would like to no what is involved in calibrating a clubman speedo thanks. In the proccess if putting in a 3.1 diff, at the moment it has a 3.44 :?: :?:

There are a couple of ways of doing it.

Go to someone like Howard Instruments (or you could just send your speedo with details of what you had and what you've gone to)

Or, change the speedo drive pinion and spindle. For 3.1 Diff, the factory fitted ones were p/n DAM2905 and DAM6028. These were 7 and 16 tooth respectively (but be warned, these are not cheap!)

en-light of what the local government wants to do (no I'm not watching the results) this is Poignant. I know how the Rolla is to the needle by using the GPS but do we really know what speed we are doing if they bring in the 40/50/60 zones

All my speedos read 5kmh high at 60kmh- the AU Ford Futura, my Mini and the wife's Fiesta too.
Buy a cheap GPS. :P

and I read where NSW's finest will be following their VIC breatheran by reducing the "tolerance" from a reasonable (10%??) figure to something like 3Km over you are gone mate - gotta love Australia's nanny states :roll:

Not the fuzz's fault, it's the bloody RTA..
Maybe the Libs can now sweep some dills out of the joint and sanity will prevail. :P
