Marion moves closer and closer to completion and I'm starting to consider a few odds and ends to make driving her more pleasant.

Does anyone have an accessory brochure showing exterior mirror options?

I dont have any brochures, but my 64 850 got knocked back a road worthy for not having any side mirrors. I took it elsewhere and got passed and installed a drivers side mirror for personal assurance.

Hi Rehab
My original 1960 850 had Lucas round mirrors mounted on the guards. I'm pretty sure that these were an option way back in the 60's when I was a lad. Repro round Lucas type mirrors are available.
You can see one in this 1961 brochure.

Are you looking for a new mirror or a second-hand period mirror from the 1960's?

I knew Morris1100 would know - I may have to email him

I can put her on club rego without mirros but I'd really like at least a drivers one although I don't want to drill holes in my shiney new paint - I was thinking on one to mount on the door edge or maybe the roof gutter

If you are looking for a second-hand period mirror that doesn't need a hole then a Wibroc one would suit. This is the brand that was sold by BMC under their own name and also used by NSW Government on fleet vehicles, including the Police Cooper S's and Clubman GT's. Below is a picture of one style that clips to the leading edge of the door (driver's or passenger's). You can see it fitted to a Police Clubman GT.

My 850 has signs of one of the those mirrors being mount on the door, half way up the window, if that makes sense. Hoping to find another one day. I found one similar to the one above at my grandparents but the mirror was smashed :(

Broken mirror glass can be easily replaced. I have to do it quite regulaly at work. Any good window glass place should be able to cut one from a piece of scrap. A cardboard template may be needed.

They come up on eBay quite often. Just search on Wibroc.

that's exactly the sort of thing - round would be better for an 850 though I think

The accesories brochure I have is from the mid 60's (not dated , just going on the mini's shown) and show's a mirror clipped onto the front edge of the door just above the top hinge .

None of the Australian brochures I have show an external mirror (with the exception of the "incredible 850" brochure which has the penny a mile page that wild-willy has already posted) .
