How has owning a Mini changed your life???

I'll kick things off.

I inhereted my Mini Clubman from my brother when he passed away.

It needed a new accelorator cable. I went to the then Mini Kingdom and found a membership form for the Mini Car Club of NSW. Thought - that sounds OK. Joined. Raced my Clubman - wrote my Clubman off - met life long friends, have had some fantastic times in the Club, met my future husband - married - now have two children and 6 Minis.

The humble Mini certainly had a great impact on my life.

How about you???

Julie.........

Well, one put me in hospital for 5 months, and off work for 10, after my mate wrapped it round a tree. It was in sight of his front gate, too..
My first 850 was lots of fun in the 60's- I was Lancaster Motors' best spare parts customer I bet. I had too much power for the poor gearbox(es).. :?
But I was hooked. No other car could corner at such insane speeds back then, skinny crossply tyres and all.
Had another 13 of 'em since- it's a sickness, I tell you...

My brother bought me my first (for $150) when I was 16. Towed it home on a 10 foot rope, with NO brakes and no clutch. I'll leave it up to you to work out how he pulled it up.

Took it home pulled it apart, bought a wreck, pulled it apart. Kind of what I do...

Owned a mini everday of my life since I was 16. Very few of those days have I owned one that works.........we all need a hobby don't we?.

Well, I no longer breath oxygen I breath petrol fumes and oil blowby. People now no me by my car rather than my striking personality. People always greet me by saying 'is the Mini running?' because they no half the time it wont be. Every wrecked car at the side of the road bears potential spare parts (don't ask how I got my spare 32/36 Weber  )

I'm the only one amongst my non-Mini owning mates that has to have a guy walking in front of me with a red flag to warn the pedestrians, and I'm the only one with a support vehicle :D

I got quite a reputation in college because after drinking a 600ml coke I'd keep the bottle to use in the engine bay to catch the oil spewing out the top. I'll let you guess what my reputation was, but I'll just hint that I had a coke bottle in the engine bay with a rubber hose going through the side and clouds of smoke coming out...

It's the only car under $100k that's not a ricer and gets loads of [good] attention from people of all ages. Wherever you go, someone has either had one or know's someone who had one, what other car can you drive, where if you pass onother, can exchange a friendly wave?.........I have the 'mini bug' and I'm not looking back!!! :D :D :D

Ever since I got my mini my wallet has never been empty, my hands have never been so clean! My back is in amazing shape from never having to bend over, I don't think my parents have ever been so happy to see their nice clean driveway and i think my hearing actually improves every time I travel at high speeds!

Wait a minute, I was dreaming, disregard everything I just said.
I don't think Iv'e got so many smiles from hot girls in my life since I got my Mini.
It's also a chick magnet.
