Get a rover frontcut for the same price: sure that could give you more power the frontcut also gives you an engine, brakes, subframe, dash and AC.

I would love to give that a try one day. At least I have plenty of time to decide if I want the 45mm or the 50mm one.

I think $1650 is pretty cheap for what it is. Imagine the work that would have to go into something like that if you were to scratch build something like that yourself.

I have no idea about this sort of thing, but I'm making an uneducated guess that this would help with liquid injection LPG, which i am keen to try on a car!

A bloke in the Vic mini club has (had?) a clubman that ran on straight LPG without any electronic injection sort of stuff. Went really well.
Couldn't use the boot ofcourse but half the time you can't use the thing anyway in a mini.

Sounds like he used the vapor style, I'm really keen to give the liquid injection a go, since I've been told is no good for the soobie I'm going to have to look into it on the mini me thinks ;) benefit is, the tanks come in the smaller style doughnut tank :)

The shaft does not continue through the throat of the carb, less 'obstruction' for a given size. When it's fully open, all that is in the way is the edge of the butterfly only.

That is mark doolans clubby, there is a picture of it in the Vic alpine tour thread in the event photo section. He is the one who went to fast and hit a wall.
