Hi all

I was having a discussion with a friend about what colours Clubman Gt's came in.

From this link http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic ... n++colours it appears the only colours were,

Space Blue
Crystal White
Arianca Tan
Jet Red
Gambier Turquise
Camino Gold
Cadiz

Does anyone know if there were any other colours :?: Was there any sort of greens used :?:

Cheers
Steve

there used to be a website and forum dedicated to the clubman GT, it had everything you needed to know about them.

unfortunately its gone, but

the GT was featured in the mini experience,
and it has this to say:

71-72
aricana tan
bold as brass
bronze beige
cadiz
camino gold
country cream
crystal white
gambier turquoise
jet red
space blue

also unconfirmed:
stella blue
sugar cane
velvet gray

and 1973
home on th'orange
hairy lime

Douge did put one up - i think it may be in the how to's.

This is one from the 72 colours. I dont have a 71 chart and the hairy lime and the home th'orange are very late model GT's colours

I was under the Impression that Hairy lime was not introduced by Leyland Australia on the Morris Marina and Mini till 1975 according to colour charts as per year of production. I have a Hairy lime Mini and it is a 1975, Even my Modified convertible was originally Hairy lime and it is also a 1975 car.

Hey Tony

Could you post a picture of your Hairy Lime car, as far as I can remember yours is nothing like the 2 above. The 2 above are different to what people have been referring to as Hairy Lime.

Is it like British Racing Green, in that there are more than one colour with the same name :?:

Steve

I'm pretty sure my brothers' clubbie (mike byron) is hairy lime, and I remember it to be a shade or so darker than those two cars, so maybe it is a question of the photography/colour reproduction?

It's considerably brighter and 'louder' than any BRG.

Hi GT, I think you misunderstood what I wrote, I didn't ask if Hairy Lime was like BRG. I was asking if like BRG with it's 101 shades does Hairy Lime also have different shades :?: :)

Cheers
Steve

Hairy Lime starts off real bright but it fades with time.
Do a Google image search of Hairy Lime Mini and Hairy Lime P76.
