if you dont have the heater unit in it, how did it pass rego, it needs a fan for demisting the windscreen. The fan is part of the heater unit (which takes up so much friggin floor space).

If it is a Mini Deluxe or Mini K, no fan or heater should be required for rego. These cars came without either.
The fresh air heater (same as std Minimatic one) BMC supplied as an option had NO fan either..
Mine does now, I bought a 3" Attwood bilge blower... 8)

the only reason i used the steel ties from bunnings is because the ones that came with the kit from minispares are too big , and its a public holiday today so thats all i could get :P

I have replaced the heater tap with the universal jayco one that's in the how to section. Having trouble getting the end of the cable to stay on the hot-cold switch though!

I purchased the car like this, with no heater. In W.A. we do not have to pass rego every year like you eastern stater's... unless your unluckily enough to get pulled over by the cops and they inspect your car, your right to go :P

Nothing at all wrong with using Tie Wire, just doesn't look as nice, but I doubt that they are in your lounge room.
