Hmmm - 8+ years of Mini ownership and countless Injuries, the shining stars are....

4" instantly cauterised cut in left knee from angle grinder suddenly slipping. .
Every knuckle torn and bleeding during a "roadside impromtu radiator hose changing" - 2 times in the one night
left ankle squished (forgot to get it out of the way of decending subframe)
left index finger cut to the bone during a particularly nasty ball-joint change (man those locking washers can get sharp!!)

sure there are many more, but I'm repressing them.......

J

Very impressive.

I'm glad I can get the 'other half' to do all the dirty work. All I'm required to do is help bleed the brakes ocasionally and drive the cars.

Yes, I am very lucky.

Cheers
Julie.......

My dad had his cooper S a few years before I was born (I'm now 28 and a smig) and was racing around some streets of south sydney. He went to go around a bend, the car refused, he went straight thru a paling fence and fliped it over a cliff. It landed on the roof, crushed it forming a moould around him. Dad had to be cut out and taken to hospital with critical injuries. If anyone else was in the car they would have died instantly. All he can remember is waking up in the ambulance and throwing-up everywhere.

Moral of this story: If someone builds you a car and says "You will never roll this mate." Be sure to ask about flipping it!

I have burnt my self on the engine many times.

I have always hit my head on the bonnet while working on the engine.

i skinned my knuckles so bad trying to reinstall the radiator after changing the timing chain but the worst part was i hadnt taken the bonnet off the hinges, i had just moved the prop stand thing forr the bonnet higher up the side of the car, i little to much shaking doing up the alternator bolts and down she came with the pointy bit of the bonnet catch whackinging into my lower back, just beside my spine, end result the ugliest coloured bruise i had ever seen and one sore as #$%^ lower back, i learnt a valuable lesson that day!!

Ahh the joys of having a Moke.. No doors to slam fingers in and you can take the bonnet right off and out of the way...

But can add that plenty of skin has been removed from hand and arm trying to fix wiring behind the dash..
