Good to know these are available locally, seeing as the Bridgestone SF226's are no longer.

Yes.... but depends on tyre / quantity.
Freight is usually more than the tyres actually cost !

I last found 6 tyres was best option (freight cost) and meant I got a032r at about 1/2 the then current price in Australia.

However just punching in 4 x A008 from 2 leading UK suppliers gives approx 304 pounds = about $465 (then your bank currency conversion fee and possibly random customs inspection cost (I got hit last time)) .... then fitting ...
so local $119 is very competetive .....

$800 got me mamba wheels and tyres (fitted) last year from Midland Wheels in the UK. That price was landed at my door.

Seems very competitive when compared to just buying tyres locally.

Hi Dan,

I imported 6 A032Rs from Minisport UK about 12 months ago and they set me back the grand sum of about $106 each. Of course you have to pay for fitting on top of that. Mind you they were about 36 pounds each at the time instead of the 44 pounds or so that they are now.

Cheers,
Simon

They're certainly down here in Melbourne at Stuckey's. I saw them today for 137 fitted. They also have the awesomely awesmome treaded SPR7 Formula Rs with the period tread shape.Shame about the wear rates...

If you want great grip, the Yoko A032R and Dunlop Formula R provide it. However don't expect either to wear (not) like a Bridgestone 226.

My next set will be A032Rs for traction, as I do hardly any miles now- and the A008s can go on the wife's van when built.

Formula R's are a great tyre, available from Gary's motorsport tyres at Arndell Park for $140 a tyre, but seriously you should look into taking advantage of the strong aussie dollar & importing them from the UK or US at the moment, you can seroiusly land them here for just over half the price you pay locally, i found Huddersfield spares the cheapest to buy from, i bought in 6 tyres this week.

I agree with Huddersfield being good value
I also bought 4 x Yokohama A539 x 12s for 112gbp plus freight from minispares
