This question has probably been asked a thousand times, but I'm having trouble getting any search results....

I'm closer than I've ever been to putting Barney's 12s on the market and grabbing some 10s from Minisport in the UK. I'm torn between the 6" deepdish and the 5" as to me, sometimes the 6s look all rubber. Also torn between deep dish ultralites and miniators!

Hoping some kind people can post some pics of either so I can make a call.

Cheers!

Thanks for posting a pic of my car, the wheels are Minator 10 x 6, tyres Dunlop Formula R. Those wheels are available from some of the mini shops.

Do it, 10's look "right" on a roundy IMO.

I was in the same dilemma for a while until stumbled upon some original Mambas. 8)

I thought the Minitors looked really great and below are a number of pics.

I wondered too about the deep ultralites but struggled to find a pic of some on a car. If u are after period look then deep dish doesn't always look right. I think the race car has 10X5 ultralites on it and they look better (or are they 10x6 but not deep dish??).

Important.... note that first green car and race car are fitted with the "extra wide" original style flares.

Yeah pretty sure they are the Miniator 10 x 6 under standard BMC flares. Same setup as the nice black car in the earlier post.

I'll try zooming in on the original.

I think all the cars in my pics are the Miniator 10 x6 except the race car. One of the green cars just had different centre sticker I think.

The different tyre types and flares sizes trick the eye.

How heavy are miniators? I heard ultralites are fairly heavy. Miniatures are my pick

Looks like I'm heading down the Minator path. Trying to see if minisport.com offer the same package as they do with the ultralites (with Yoko A008s for 280 odd parnds).

Bigger is gayer IMO.
The mini is one of the only cars that can run 10s so why not?!

Do you mean 12s are 'gay'? Or 10 x 6s?

Thanks Adam.

Looked at these on Midlands http://www.midlandwheels.com/Shop/P-2397-6-x-10-JBW-Minilight-Silver-Hi-lite--165/70x10-Yokohama-A008.html

Image

323UK + postage = 510UK

Anyone know of midlands or minisport discounts on offer?

Evan

That's a very intelligent response from you.

10x6 are great - I really like the bulge that 165 profile tyres get on the sidewall.
:D
