Hi All,
I couldn’t stay to the end.

Can someone tell me who won the people's choice award and is there a picture they can post?

Cheers,
Ian

Who are these "people" and why have they not been culled?

Easy guys, as much as the Bini may not be to your taste
it's still someone's pride and joy - Someone who is quite likely on the forum and will be reading what you've said.

People's choice is people's choice.

This car just got the most pooled votes, not more votes than all the classic mini's put together.

There is a rule on here about slandering Binis/Clubmans/Roundies.

Just try and be mindful of other people's feelings.

Sorry dont get me wrong I dont mind BMW mini's.
Some of my close friends drive them.
I meant I didn't think that the eye lashes were tasteful.

Wow,

I have to fess up and say I don't mind the new Mini's and if any company was to take over the name, I’d rather is was a German car maker not one of our Korean or Indian friends so in reality i think we've been lucky.

That said, I'm gob smacked that that particular car won. I saw it and just kept walking.

But then as I've just mentioned above my thoughts are not always popular so that probably explains it.

In any case it was a great day, congratulations to the owners of all those excellent cars, thank you to the organisers and maybe next year mine will be good enough to come inside the hall and not stay in the car park. :)

Its a simple explanation as to why it won.
All the classic owners would've voted for their own car, and half wouldn't have voted at all cause the vote card was also the entry pass.

General public always vote for the newest, brightest, or cutest.
I'd be interested for curiosity sake what car came second and third.

it probably only got 5 votes - I remember a few years ago Camel (now silent ausmini user) won people's choice at the Grand Day Out, his car wasn't even there. Just a bunch of ausmini people thought it'd be funny so all voted for him. The BINI crowd probably did the same
