3000 miles is what BMC recommended.
I do mine at about 2500 because it is getting old.

I do oil and filter at 1,000 miles because my engine is tired.

I think about 2,000 miles is pretty good for a good cond engine.

I do it depending on the cars useage.

My daily deluxe gets done at 3k but my Cooper S that takes longer to get miles put on it and has a good fresh engine gets done at 1k

1k in my Cooper S would be about 3 years
I usually do the daily driver mini's about every 3 - 4 months, not sure on the distance cause it varies around 3k mark
The mini with the oldest engine tends to do it's own oil changes as it needs topping up every 2-300 kms

I do mine every 5000km. It's a "dry" daily driver and cops a fair bit of spirited driving.

No point in me doing oil changes anymore. My engine leaks & burns so much constant topping up always keeps it fresh

I do mine similar to Steve. Depending on usage and the driving I'm doing/ done.

I give mine a service every 6 weeks or so. In saying this though, I do A LOT of driving and a lot of it high speeds. More than most :(

Mini owners... keeping the oil companies in business? :D

If your regularly driving the car then 5000klms is fine. A better indication is what the oil in the engine is like but i won't go into that. Don't fret if you do more klm's inbetween changes, just make sure it has oil in it.

And it's always good to give the car a grease when you change the oil.

Sad news!
Kmart have changed the packaging of the KMX oil and efectively increased the price.
I purchased some yesterday and it was $14 for 4 Litres. Was $19 for 6 Litres last time.

Hmmm still the same price here on the week-end - $19 for six litres still at Tuggeranong K-Mart :D

I am happy I got in before they changed it...the EB SXR8 loved K-Mart oil...
