Hi I am new to this forum, and one of the first topics I saw was the information page concerning the Sports 850. The example on the cover of the magazine in particular caught my attention, and was wondering if anything about its fate or whereabouts is known.

:D

I remember seeing a Red Sports 850 for sale in a Canberra car yard
(Divine crt Phillip) around 1988 to 1990 (a bit fuzzy on date).
I spent quite a while looking it over and believed it was genuine at the time.
Badges and carbs with pancake cooper style filters.
Dont know who bought it but maybe someone might know.
Would love to know more about the 850 sports that still exist myself.
Cheers Rob

The registration was HMA -169 I believe and i am not sure if it was up for sale or if it has been srcapped etc. Would be a chance to own a piece of motoring history.

Are there any Sports 850s for sale?

HMA -169 would definately be a bit history but so would any 850 Sport.
I wonder if they actually modified the 100 cars or just sold the kits to owners to make up the total for homologation.
