Hi does anyone have a wiring diagram for rover air conditioning system?
i can't get the wire to switch on the compressor, i think the fault maybe a faulty switch or the way its wired up. (i did remove it and are putting it back in)

There is usually a low pressure switch in the system that will not allow the compressor to work if the gas level is too low.
See if you can find that switch and bridge it and see if the compressor kicks in.

just checked the input to the relay switch, out of the 4 connections only 1 has 12volts, so im guessing the problem must be before that.
from what i figure,
- the switch has constant 12 v
- it switches 12 v to the switching wire which goes to the relay
- then from the relay it goes to the pressure switch
- then it goes to the compressor
is this correct?

Have a look at the following link, it is for the later type of air-con (in dash type)
