So what your trying to say is that it's basically blasting something with sand :?

They can. We have one at home. If you use it in a confined area, you can simply sweep up the sand, sift it and reuse.
Where I work is located on the beach, and all the sandblasting is done outdoors, so we aren't worried about getting it back. It just looks crap because it is red.

1) i think the question as to whether it was real, is that sandblasting is about blasting sand:
a) in a full enclosed container such as a cabinet or a room
b) or just blasting it in the open air (or a bucket) where sand can go everywhere and you have to clean it up

2) beach sand = salt = rust if humid day

Hey Anton, how big is your compressor. I have a 16 cfm with a larg tank. do you think that will handle a sand blaster??

Does it make a helluva mess??

my compressor is small  but does the job quite well. A LARGE compressor will rock!

I set up my son's 'clam shell' pool with the parts in it. Compressor and bucket of sand next to it. I sat in the pool with the parts, and blasted away! My son sat close by and observed (like he always wants to do). Yea, sand went out of the pool, but it was on pavers, so I just swept it into the cracks in the pavers when I finished  Did 2 jobs in one!

I was lucky enough to be able to sand blast the parts I needed at work (then Northern Mini Parts) when I was doing mutant. They had a professional machine which was fantastic. It just works so quick and cleans everything up. Must admit you do get sick of doing it after a while.

End result after sandblasting and then shining is great.

hey
bout that sand-blasting thing, my dad has this cabinet that u can get, it has a gun, and gloves (put ur hands in) lift lid, put stuff in, connect compressor, and spray stuff...gets stuff clean, and better yet, its a completely sealed unit..meaning the sand is recycled and stuff stays cleaner!
its probly a bit over the top for just a few mini bits, but if ur into doin something major and often enuff, it might be worth looking into...who knows what my dads going to do with it, but then again he has a few cars that probly need sandblasting...
my 3c.
cheers
Kaz :D 8)

The Australian distributor is:

Permanent Painted Coatings
Phone - 1800 643 229
Phone - 02 9999 0122
Web - http://www.ppc.au.com/
Email - [email protected]

I wouldn't expect to get it cheap, but from what I have heard/read it is good stuff. Check the US website www.por15.com, it has plenty of info on there about the products.

Cheers,

Damo.

No it's not a cooper- wrong doors, & brakes, and it's hydro!
No it's not an S- wrong engine & brakes.. & not enough fuel tanks..

Try Morris Mini deluxe.. with the wrong engine & gearbox!
