Put in an 82C thermostat. Ran in the garage/drive for about 20+mins.
If it was going to boil I'm guessing it would have in this time but the temp sat around 80-82c so I think I'm happy :?:
Checked fluids when it was cool and still had coolant. I think the cooling issues are solved!

Now for the next project.......

Hooked the smart charger to it, maybe now the 4 or 5 year old Exide 550CCA battery will survive this winter. :lol:

got the engine in the s going after 4yrs.. with some love from lockie, some new plugs, coil, leads in the correct order, battery, some new fuel without water, and a new set of points, it started second go. :P

No smoke, and a purred along nicely.

started at home in FTG (good place to start from :D }
went to croydon ,then to lillydale,healsville stopped at alexandra for lunch :D
then on to ancona and then back to home :D :D

Cleaned up the heater box, painted it, reassembled and installed it.
The car needed to be ready for my daughters first holy communion.
We were to leave for the church by 11:00am. I had the car back together and tuned by 10:45am.

The car ran really well.

today i pulled off the rear drums on the 850 to measure and get new shoes tomorrow. Also tried to hook up the temp guage in the van but not quite successful yet. Will try again tomorrow, maybe. Bloody electrics :x
