Winter has approached, I am after any tricks of the trade to tell me how to stop moisture build up in the rocker cover.
Obviously warming the engine and long drives is standard..

But would replacing the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation)/ CCV (crankcase ventilation valve) help prevent moisture build up?
What types of rocker covers are best to prevent moisture build up? (on a mini)

Should it be concerning if the moisture looks like this... (picture is just an example)

Yes,
Buildup like that is not normal, check your coolant and see if there is an oil slick in the coolant reservoir. Not a good thing.

It is winter. If you do a lot of short trips or if your breathers are not hooked up properly that is what you should expect in the colder parts of the country.
Penrite oil is also good for mayo in the rocker cover!

with older engines i have found that some creamy build is common depending on the type of oil used.

the picture used above is a late model engine, and creamy build up like that usually indicates something bad going on.

last year i had some issues with it, quite bad in my old 1098 engine. after changing to a different brand of engine oil it stopped.

Easy fix bud, stop putting your fingers in the rocker box, that will stop it becoming moist in the first place!!!!
