Howdy friends,

Looking for all the information you can give me on a 63/64 850.
Things like what it should/shouldn't have, trim, engine bay etc etc

Old catalogues would be great.

Or just pictures of close to original, or concourse sliding window 850's

Cheers in advance
Adam

My 63 850 was a CKD (from the double body number)
I have better pictures than this - from when I first brought it home
I can put then up at the week end if you want.

This is the only picture I have of my 1964 850 from 1966

If you check out the 850 I owned on this site there are some good pix. Methinks the new owner prowls here too.

Wombat, thanks for those pictures, especially the one from the 60's, LOVE IT!

Can you remember what colour wheels your 64 came with?
Silver or white?

I searched a thread about wheel colour, but it seemed quite indecisive about whether or not wheels should be white or silver..

Bamnfi, the photos of your car, the links seem to have broken?
Do you have copies of them anywhere you can send to me?

Grey 64, same deal with the wheels, are they body colour, or silver?
And are they original colour?

Cheers

What is wrong with the speedo?

Meant to have a clear needle? (that one is obviously just yellowed from the sun)

Body colour roof, gotcha

Wheels should be old english cream up to early 64, and silver after that?

And were the mirrors all mounted on the guards, or are they just the wrong shape?

No mirrors.
Factory option.

850's never came with mirrors unless requested?

So quaint!

Any idea what year that interior is from?

Also, the 850 i'm looking at is painted original colours, to me it looks like a sky blue, not sure what the proper colour name for it would be (it's either 63 or 64).
What colour interior should it have?
Seats, headlining, carpet, belts?

PS. It looks like the same colour as the one super-mini posted.

it should have a blue interior, or a grey interior, whatever you prefer i guess.

mine was repainted "dream blue" which is a factory colour but its from 1965 i think.

i believe it was originally iceberg blue

it had a blue interior

Thanks super-mini.

Just came across this ad:
Image

Sorry for the size

I assume this is a british ad, hence the white wheels?
And the arrow logo with "Which way is an engine", is that the sticker commonly found across the rear window?

My 1963(?) 850 was originally Arctic Blue and I have been wondering what colour the interior would have been.

When I purchased it, it came with a red rear seat and red rear side trims, a blue with black trim rear seat (upholstery only - no frame) and a pair of fixed back brown front seats.

Do any of these sound like a correct match for the exterior?
