Replace one of the elbows with a tee fitting then fit a Toyota PCV valve.

It's now on the rocker cover (works fine), I had it on the flywheel housing breather but on long LH bends at high rpm the drop gears toss oil up it.
If it's an S block, run it from the S breather on the sideplate instead.

The valve.. $27 @ Repco

I prefer the PCV-014, is the same as 013 except one end is 13mm or 1/2", which makes it easier to hook up to the std mini rocker cover or S type side cover breather.

I have the same PCV valve, wasn't sure if I should try & hook up the flywheel housing breather.
BTW it is a 1100S block thus no side plates

Make sure to put it the right way round (there are no flow arrows). When engine is running you can feel the valve pulsing if it's correct.

So when plumbed as in your photo above, the valve allows air to flow from the rocker & into the manifold and not the other way around?

That just sounds logical, but no harm in checking. :)

Yes it allows regulated air to flow as you say. When vacuum is highest (at low throttle openings) it allows reduced flow, as vacuum drops (at high throttle openings) it lets more through.
Just like the 5 million? modern cars out there..
