What could be causing plugs two and three of my mini engine to be getting covered in oil, while plugs one and four are perfect?

Bad leads, dissy cap or bad plugs.

I agree with GT m, a bad coil H/T lead was gafmo's problem recently.

Put a meter on each lead end to end, and move the lead around. If it reads over 4000 (4K) ohms I bin them, ditto if the reading changes when moved about.
Gafmo's was reading from about 8000 ohm to infinite in places.

Cheap supression leads are just carbon impregnated `string' inside, after a few years installed they have had it.

I have had good results with Bosch inductive core leads from Supercrap, $5.95 each lead. Had them in for years and they still read about 1.8K ohm as new.

Yep just to add to GT & Dr I had replaced the lead to the spark plugs but not the HT lead to the Coil. I replaced the lead with a New 1 and not long after it started again. So I also have a new Coil to install on the weekend

it does sound like you had the same problem I had/have but I would also inspect your dizzy cap and rotor if not replace

What dizzy are you using as I have a Pulsar

I have a megajolt setup using the old leads with the clips on the coil side, I have a few newer leads lying around so i'll try a few different ones and see how it goes.

you shoulda mentioned that in the first post....

Try testing/swapping the leads around, but if you still find that #2 & #3 are oily, it means that "half" of the coil pack is cactus. THe coil pack is 2 coils with 2 terminals each, one of the coils fires #1 & #4, the other is #2 & #3

If it is, don't go and get another Ford coil, get one from a Hyundai Excel. Check my howto on instructions on hooking it up
