A good system. and comfort, sability and handling far superior to any solid rubber, coils, leaf springs, etc...

However not as good as the Hydropneumatic systems of Citroen with it's height adjustment, self leveling and ultra smooth ride (even when new in 1954) IMHO - now 50+ years of improvement.

Hydrolastic and Hydragas are generally underrated and should have been further refined.
Hydraulics are such simple systems, no moving metal parts. :D

In a mini theirs the same amount of metal parts in either set up, just different metal and it's only one piece...the alloy trumpet or metal spacer rod.

My 2c...
Rubber cones age badly and go donut shaped, hydro bags don't.
If you keep them working, they keep on working.. 8)
Mine (touches wood) are 41 years old now and the ride is still fine.
If one ever blows (nope, I've never had one do it) I have a bunch of S/H spares.
Sorry guys, none of them are Cooper S ones. :P
