Thanks guys. :)

My next task is to somehow fix the the centre switch hole. One of the previous owners has cut that hole bigger for some reason (the whole lot was covered previously) and now that i've gone back to the classic sort of look i tried to fit the little chrome bezel around the switches. It fell straight through the hole because it's been enlarged. :x :?

I'm thinking my only option is to cut the centre piece out of another car and carefully weld it in. Trying to recreate the recess for the bezel from scratch would be too difficult for me.

You can just see the switches in the pic through the steering wheel. The top and bottom edges of the hole have been cut back by about 5mm each. The curved ends near the screws are still sort of intact, just.

I've got to run off to work now. I'll try to get a proper pic later.

Edit: I just remembered i had these ones already uploaded on photobucket.

Before : http://i364.photobucket.com/albums/oo90 ... 2-Copy.jpg

During : http://i364.photobucket.com/albums/oo90 ... 6-Copy.jpg

During : http://i364.photobucket.com/albums/oo90 ... 5-Copy.jpg

...and you can see the after pics above.

Do I need to host photos somewhere before posting???

If someone else wants to post , send me an email addy.

Oh man does it piss me off when the forums censor my photobucket links. There's been a couple of forums that introduced swear filters sometimes years after i'd posted numerous images. Thus all the image links suddenly went bad in all those posts.

In retrospect, it was a poor choice of username.

Does anyone know the body numbers for broadspeeds? If i make a dash that looks like a broadspeed dash and restamp my roundy shell then havent i restored a genuine broadspeed?
