Hi Guys

I was wondering if anyone knew of a place a person I could talk to in order to get a ride to my formal in a 1960s Mini, something I've always wanted to do.

My school is St Peters Lutheran College at Indooroopilly on Brisbane's Westside, and the formal is being held on the 22nd of October. I think the setup is we drive up to school and arrive in the chapel forecourt (the mini would comfortably be able to fit down the streets as adouble decker bus did it last year), and I believe that is it. We then walk over the road to the Hillstones Golf Club and have a sweet time. So, I believe all in all, it would be at most an hour.

Could any people interested either PM me or just post a reply so I can get an idea of how much you want to be paid (I am certainly willing to pay around $50-60 to anyone).

Cheers

Aidan

I was also wondering if anyone would be interested in taking me, for the same pay. Sorry did not add that to the original message.

just be careful about doing this. Because as the law would see it, paying someone to drive you is illegal, as they are not a licenced service and do now have the required insurance cover for this.
So I'm told...

Having said that. if my beast is done by then  and i haven't got anything else on.... i'd be happy to drive you.

But if they give you a FREE lift and you accidently leave $50 lying on the seat, how are they to know who's it is.

Thank you guys, but I was looking for a roundie. But if no other offers come, sure, count me in.

PS $50 trick sounds like the way to go :)

1964 is the best year, both for music and Mini-wise - I love Sunset Red, you see.

 I will never fully understand why people want a roundie so much. A mini is a mini I say..

For mine, I had a convoy of mini's, they acted like a parade/ escort me and my friends to the formal. I found it stood out quite well as it was not just one car that people were looking at but all of them.

If it were me, I'd go in the roundie that u want to go in, then have another 10cars escorting you there with you in the middle

Just a tad of a logistical nightmare, considering we have nearly 300 kids in Year 12, all arriving in vehicles, camels, helicopters etc.. A convoy for one person might not work (doens't say it isnt cool).
