I know its quite a bit later than when requested, but here are some photos of the 850 mats (Early-mid 1962, don't know if they changed?)

They look quite dirty in the photos. Perhaps I should give them a clean

The left hand side has a line where to cut out for LHD. The shape is the same as the right hand.

Something else I've noticed, although it may not be important, the Morris Mini 1100 (Mk2 Mini Minor) had the same style rubber mats but without the edging/rim thingo. (850 mat on left)

Sorry about the photos being rather large. At least you should be able to see them well!

EDIT: Gee, isn't typical this would be the first post on a new page? If necessary I'll remove some of the photos or reduce them to thumbnails if wanted.

Evan

I don't know about floor mats, but a place in Dandenong is remaking the rubber boot mat. However, it's the style of the later 850 with larger ribs. I'm not sure what Deluxes had, perhaps the same?

I saw an 850 a couple of days ago that appeared to have better floor mats than mine, however I couldn't get a real good view, might not have been as good as I thought.

I would love some rubber mats in my "850"
It's hard to keep my carpets clean.

Hi Evan, do you know how to contact this crew in Dandenong assuming they are taking orders? I certainly need a boot mat for my 850 and if I can get a repro that would be ace!

The place is Tru Fit Auto Carpets: http://www.trufitcarpets.com.au/

They have a listing on eBay at the moment:
http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Rubber-R ... 889wt_1271

In-store price was still $110, just didn't have postage on top. We've also bought a carpet set for my Mini and one for Dad's Vanden Plas Princess from them, and pleased with both.

Thanks very much Evan! That's pretty much exactly what I was after - it's nice how they've even pre-punched the holes for the press studs and done the cutout for the fuel tank drain pipe - nice attention to detail.

I notice on their website that on their application list they say that moulded vinyl floor mats are available to suit Minis - has anyone looked into this further? At least a vinyl floor mat would be one step closer to the original rubber mat than carpet.

I got the rubber boot mats for my birthday, and it fits perfectly in my 850 with 5.5 gallon tank. I think it's actually plastic, not rubber, but it looks great. Got four Xmas tree clips from Supercheap to secure it to the boot lid... the holes in the mat lined up exactly.

Just an update. Yes, Tru-fit have recreated the 850 boot liner. Awesome. Fits perfect.

I will be meeting with the owner of Tru-fit next week to see if he can remake the front, mid, and rear floor pieces.

I have recently acquired 2 brand spankin' new front floor mats. The first one wasnt stored well (hence the splits). The 2nd.... well... the photo says it all.

Here are some photos of the boot liner from Tru-fit.

Important Note: This liner came straight off of the press and has not been trimmed. The ones that you would buy off of Tru-fit would be trimmed etc.

The owner showed these to me a while back and wanted to see how they fit my car.

hey 68 auto, WOW! i didn't know anyone would have NOS mats anymore.

They are early clubman/mini k. Maybe Deluxe??

Mini 850 was different, but I suppose once the basic shape is obtained it will just be a matter of changing the type of vynil used.

Let us know how it works out. As those ones you have will sell well, lets hope they can and are willing to do it

Some of the UK guys have been buying the Tru-fit boot mats and are pretty happy with them.

On their Ebay ad it says they won't fit a Clubman. Why not?

These mats came with a 1968 Mini.Matic. They dont have any emblems etc on them. Obviously they would fit many other Minis

People would have to go by the shape and size. Im hoping that we can get them made in a couple of colours.
