I am trying to get some new rubber donuts into the front towers but they are difficult/impossible to turn the correct way up once in the tower?
I know I got the old ones out but they were squashed.
Should I be using lots of "lube" and more force?
Any hints or secrets will be safe with me.

why are you trying to turn them once up in the tower??? :?

Just slide them up in there the correct way.

Mine were a bit tight as well. I sprayed some lube up and sort of pushed them up sideways and gave them a gentle tap to turn them.
