Dug some more out under the house - started making the wooden block discribed in the manuels to allow jacking under the front of the Mini

Location: North of the Harbour planning my next mini project
Fitted the new rubber cones, hi-los and top arms into the front subframe.
Lower arms and make a start on the hubs assembly tommorrow night.

Tried to find the right spanner, turned out someone thought it would be a good idea to hide a whit-worth fitting in the front subframe :x

Gave it a much needed wash!

A puddle of water appeared on the front floor mat, not sure where it got in?! Next to the patch of brake fluid dripping down the clutch peddle :roll:


grey 64, where did you manage to pick up a NOS 850 mat? I saw you mentioned it in the 850 mat thread, but didn't get around to asking. Something very special and rare I am sure!

fixed some seats - I scored some seat vinyl from Mini King today and then found the rubber for under the seats from what was left of a clubman at Dapto pick apart for $5

banged my head several times on the bonnet!

took the bonnet off ! !

now how the **** do ya get the thing back on lined up properly?? I gave up as it was getting dark and late so will have another go tomorrow

ended up
head gasket
waterpump
bottom hose
thermostat
heated inlet manifold
extractors
clean radiator
and a bypass hose :D :D
then onto disk brake conversion
on matt4s car :lol: :lol:
just a quiet day in the garage
