Well we finally have Claude the 970 Cooper S registered and on the road.

Took longer than I would have liked due to a typo on the import papers but all good now. No roadworthy issues at all. Just connected the battery and off he went. No matter what the temperature is, no accelerator, no choke and he fires up.

Getting it registered; the most difficult thing was the engine number tag. Fortunately the inspector dude had a relative who 'was into minis' and did some research. The relo said that it was kosher that these minis had tags. Anyway, the dude passed it. Am so relieved as I did not want to start altering a car that many previous owners had kept original.

So, keep your eyes open as you may see a wee grey and white Claude motor past :D :D :D :D

driving round the Gong finally with plates on after it being garage since 97/98 - yep, very good
