Last couple of days:

-Installed New Brake and Clutch master cylinders.
-Made up new brake lines
-Cleaned and painted the Brake Booster
-Spoke with GR about engine options, looks like I need a new block. Anybody got anything? 1100S or other?

I'm doing an engine rebuild at the moment and would really like some kind
person to put on the oil rings on the pistons for me. Stuffed if I can work out how they're meant to fit.
Very odd :(

took all the lights off the moke.

removed the Master cylinders for both the brakes & clutch.
I think taking these out are the hardest job I have ever had on a mini/moke.
Stupid threaded bolts attaching the masters & the pedals.

Also drained engine... unbolted it all... ready for when I buy a engine crane this week.

removed front & back bull bars... Removed exhaust.

Painting doors still, but cut back the clear coat today without drama (It's a t this point I usually stuff it up). Also cleaned the latching mechanisms, glass etc, before Rugby World Cup stuff became more important.

finished putting together the HS6, made studs for intake manifold, much prettier than bolts... sprayed half a can of carby cleaner on it, got the toothbrush out and cleaned it. New gaskets etc, just need to head to Doc's to pick up the manifold plug thing (ran out of time sorry Doc) and she'll be ready to rock and roll!

Dropped into Karcraft and bought some new tie rod ends, woopti-do...

Seriously considering making an SC12 small bore at the start of next year...

Last couple of days I've been harassing the engine shop who have my cylinder head; they've been making up oversize OD valve guides and have had it for nearly 3 months now

Good news is it's ready, picking it up in the morning 8)

installed HS6.... sounds very nice (not as nice as the weber  ) but seems to move more freely through the rpm, needle is SY which i think is a little too rich, no smoke and the little push tuning button thing raises a little then settles... any idea on another needle? i gave it a bit of a rev and it struggled to get back to idle, back fired the carb and choked a little... looks neat though :)

Try an OA6... it works well in an HS6 on my 1412.

Last couple of days off I removed & cleaned up both rear wheel cylinders. Was going to suck out master cylinder and bleed brakes but found too much crap in the fluid....so off came the clutch master, only to find stripped thead on clutch hyd line and clutch master thread non existant!
Brake master cleaned & last but not least cleaning my spare clutch master cylinder up for installation.
At least I know what condition everything is in!

Probably a good time to replace the rubber hoses. They could be the cause of some of the crap in the fluid.
