Hello again,

I've been meaning to build up a frame with trolley wheels to sit my shell on to make it easy to roll around but figured id see if anyone on here had built such a thing and was ready to part with it?

Probably $50 2 second job but thought I'd ask anyway :)

Mike, if all else fails a 2nd hand pallet and some industrial castors/wheels work a treat! Just the right dimensions for the cabin floor. I used lockable swivel castors at one end and straight castors at the other. You might be able to scrounge them on the cheap from Reverse Garbage or somewhere like that.

I now have it on this trolley which bolts to some of the subframe mounting points.

And I will soon be finished with this trolley and will probably try and sell it.

Guys they would be perfect but I'm afraid I may need it for a rather long period of time.
Think I may have to try the pallet option!

Sorry for the thread-jack, but THANKS..!! We have already gotten about 30m of print with Mini cars on them to make curtains and quilt cover for the room. The Minis are red and yellow with lots of green so very gender neutral. I've also ordered a Mini pedal car, allocated certain Mini toys to a collection to be played with, have a Mini night light and bedside light for the room and various prints are ready to go up once we know what colour the walls will be.....

@ Mike - how's this for an idea, assuming IwannaMini is OK with it of course!

I was going to borrow IwannaMini's rotisserie, but we just had our first child so finishing my body prep is taking a while... How about you borrow his rotisserie as he offered, and if I get to the paint stage and you're still a way off, I'll swap you my rolling pallet for the rotisserie, then swap back once I'm finished. If you get to paint before me, I'll join the queue and ask IwannaMini nicely if I can borrow it next :D

My new deadline is to get the car on the road before junior is big enough to fit into the cute "My dad drives a Mini" t-shirt. I wouldn't want him to be a liar!

The pallet on caster wheels is a very good, simple and cheap option. plus if you want it higher just add more pallets and at the end just pull it apart, keep the casters (the only part that cost you anything) and give the pallets back to the nature or whatever.

Dont be afraid to shell out for decent castors though

A good quality castor will actually roll over debris (like, a power cable across the floor for example)
A poor quality castor will just get stuck on it and frustrate you

The castors on my trolley were about $50 a piece, and it will go up and down gutters if it has to
