Its a shame the damage wasn't just on the bootlid....it would of made the repair much cheaper.

Looks like a rover boot lid. If so they are readily available and not rare like the Aussie ones

It's just had the numberplate light holes welded up.

Why does it still have WA plates on it?

You have had a rough run, hey!
Hope the next repairs are done nice and quick, and pain free.

I really feel for you.

Few years back I had the daily Mini de-rusted and full resprayed, three weeks after getting it back someone ran into the back corner and up the side, then just a week after getting it back again I got hit in the boot. Poor car spent 3 months of a 4 month period at the panel beaters

Not your fault and you have details of the other party, so the insurance company won't worry. One way they make money is to pass on a "service fee" to the other company.

Looking on the bright side, you won't have too worry about the paint colour match

Nick,
You do realise you only have 90 days to transfer interstate rego..
If ya don't believe me check what happened to this guy-

Silly person.
It was not really the because it was the wrong state, it was because he didn't transfer it to his name.

You can register a vehicle in another state. There is provisions for it. (like having a garage address in that state) but you need to follow the rules unlike the bloke on whirlpool.

Bloody bad luck there Nick!

Oh well, a full respray will look better than a repair on your two week old coat of paint. And it's definately a Rover boot lid.
