Hi all,

I am changing over to a Weber carburettor for my 1275, just to give it a go over the HS6 I have on it currently.
I will be buying new - and the guys I am buying off say they can jet it to suit when I buy it.

So I ask you all: what is a good base tune for my engine?
It's a large journal 1275, standard head (A+), 123 distributor. Everything is standard apart from that.

Any help greatly appreciated.

As for manifold, it will either get a swan neck, or a 3 inch style.

Cheers.
Tyson.

i`d suggest the redline/warnford 3&1/2 inch manifold

& just as a starting base-->

idle jets-50F9
pump jets 50
block off the pump by-pass jet (inside the bottom of the float bowl)
aux ventures 3.5
chokes 34
emulsion tubes F11
mains 145
air correctors 180

Beanie,
The reason this is done is to get more fuel per pump stroke by shutting the bleedback to the bowl. This is needed on a siamese port engine because you have 2 cylinders sucking on each port, not 1 as with an Alfa for example.

With a Dellorto 45 you achieve the same result by increasing the pump stroke (adjust actuating rod locknuts).
