I paid over the phone with my credit card.

Chris was very easy to talk to and helpful.

He also split the shipment in to 2 for that pesky customs problem! :D

A recent invention aka "Computer " has the unique ability of cross referencing 2 or more purchases by the same customer from the same seller.

Of course :!: A supplier can't waive the duties/taxes imposed by the government

Quick question . Say I order 500 GBP worth of gear & there is free delivery this would come under the 1000 $ so I won't get stung by customs.

Or will postage be added on down the track by customs and I'm farked?

Good question :D

I would imagine that whether you pay for the freight or not is irrelevant, the freight has a value (presumably known) and so could and most likely would be included in the assessment.

Only my opinion though, not gospel

hello all,

I see we have made qoute an impact in your forum. I have had a fairly large response from this post.

I would like to introduce myself. My name is Neil. I am the resident mini specialist here at SC Parts in England. I have been here for a little over four years and was employed solely to improve the supply of mini parts from our company. I myself have owned various minis over the past 15 years and currently own 3 at the moment.

I have extensive experience in and around minis and take pride in doing all work on my cars myself.

So please feel free to contact me if there is anything you need. From a wheel nut to a high performance alloy 7 port cylinder head conversion kit. sc parts is your one stop shop for everything classic mini and always gst freindly.

Many Thanks

Speaking from experience I would only expect to pay for any customs charges if the invoice attached to the outside of the package indicated the cost of the items was over $1000.0 aussie dollars. This is my experience only and may be different to others.

Damn ...the month is too short . September is one month that all the big bills come in - was looking at some wheels too.

I paid for mine on the 28th of Sept.
Have I waited too long?
