Done as soon as the container arrived. Claude was insured before he cleared Customs. Took sometime to convince the insurer of what it was but it worked out very well.

JayCar have an "Immobiliser Kit" that uses a 9 key keypad approx 50 X 40mm

A 4 digit code is programmed in when building the kit.

Built one at School years ago as a project but never got around to using it.

that might fix the financial cost, but most of our minis cannot be easily replaced.

If they want it they will take it.

It's about either slowing them down or making them not want it.
If its a flatbed theft then you have almost no way of stopping it. They just drag it on.

Of its break in. They need to be slowed down to the point that they give up.
You can have the gearstick boot to allow you to remove the shift stick they can get it in gear and can't drive away.

If you have ECU setup and no dizzy (like Megajolt, squirt, etc) you can take the ECU with you so they can't fire it up at all.

Kill switches, etc.

Just keep an eye on it or don't take it. You have a rare car. People always look and some are idiots or theives. Learn to relax and that's that unfortunately.

Peter

Buy some of that Fake crap/Turds and place them in the car where it can be seen, like seats and top of Dash. "Sit on this"

I can't remember where I saw it (it might have been on this forum) but I like the idea of hooking the ignition barrel/steering wheel up to the ignition coil with a killswitch. If the switch isn't turned off, they'll get one hell of a shock!

A friend with a hot rod has a lot of different switches on the dash (and other places) You need the switches in the right order to start the car.

He has a key switch on the with the key in it. If someone gets in the car and turns the key they get a shock.
