Decided to tackle the previous owners attempt at wiring up the car stereo.

The head unit is hooked up to 6" rear speakers only but they have always sounded tinny despite being decent JVC 2 ways. Well after taking the head unit out and pulling apart the 'custom' dash I saw the absolute mess that was the stereo wiring. Oh and no ground to the stereo, no wonder it sounded so bad.

2 hours later and all new wiring all throughout and it sounds great.

Next weekend will be my own custom dash as this one is in the bin.

I was thinking of that, it was probably burning off the 710 I spilt while filling it, other the sludgey crap that came outta the rad what I topped it up.
Must remember to flush that..

Removed the old window tint off the rear side windows
Hair dryer and then thinners to remove the glue works a treat

Finally received the rest of my stuff for the mini from SA. Fitted the new facet fuel pump(after some lateral thinking and making up some bracing...). Prepping the engine bay for paint.

Does anyone have a top and bottom radiator cowling that will fit a 4 core rad??? :(

Too many years used to driving about with Morris 1100 radiators in the beast...found out the cowls I ave are wayyyyy too wide for the new radiator...bummer!

Hooroo

Come up here and get it if you want... (i dont have time to drop it down i leave next week for holiday)

so it needs:

Touch up spray job
Passenger side CV replaced
little rubber flares made for the front
another wheel alignment
some attention to the rear subframe mounting points
something to strap the battery down (daisy chain of zip ties is not sufficient Adam...)

I think thats about it...

Maybe a quick tune/time
