speedo: Red = Amp?
fuel/temp: Orange = oil?
fuel/temp: red = ?
fuel/temp: blue = highbeam
tacho: purple =?

and is there diferent types of binical surround other than mph/kph
different fonts or colors on the rover or gt?
id love to know what the unused bulb holes were intended for and why they never got used in australia or uk

On my dash the centre 2 are the blinkers and the right one I think is the airbag warning.
I assume you mean the UK dash?

clubman

centre clock (fuel and temp guage clock)

orange light on the lower right is oil and the red on lower left is amp/charge.

Blue light on speedo is high beam.

I dont know what the tacho light at the bottom is?

fuel/temp= lower right orange: Oil
fuel/temp= lower left red: Amp/charge
Speedo= centre: blue
Tacho= ?? no idea never seen it come on/ dont even know colour

I should probably pay more attention next time im driving my GT as to what lights there are dont ever come on and what colour they are.

But i know the above are correct

Brenton

ive puled the instrument cluster apart and the purple light is there but no copper film stuff or wires go to it just an empty globe spot

I think there is another light on the speedo, maybe a red one as you say.

Ive never seen it come on either, so have no idea what its for either

I think they just added a couple of extra spots (on the speedo & Tacho) when designing them in case they were ever needed. (The early Cooper S speedo has an extra light that was never used for anything also.)

Early 70's 3 gauge sets had MPH and KPH I think as this was around the time Australia was going metric. That set of guages was used in other cars too eg Morris Marina.

As Brenton could explain the genuine Aussie GT gauges had speedo with a higher top speed and the rev counter had a higher red line.

Hey Phil, your right.

The extra lights in the dash in a clubman are just spares, they dont work and and i have been told they are not even accomodated in the circuitry. (if i looked at mine i would find this is the case)

Phil about the GT cluster having higher speed and tacho redline, thats correct.

But the 3 clock clusters are the same design from 71-78. So why i used mine to explain
