Good evening all,

Looking for some instructions/ tips/advice on how to remove the inner end of the driveshaft.

I have purchased new inner cvs, but i'm buggered if I know where to start to get the old end bit off??

I have checked both the workshop manuals I have but cant seem to find it.

The inner pot joint end is held on with the same method as the outer cv,
Hold the shaft in a vice with some soft jaws and knock it off with a hammer and a drift.

PS, keep an eye out for the small section "O" ring on the shaft and be sure to refit.......

Righto, so i should be able to knock it off then, btw what is a drift? (is this something to grip the end bit, so it can be knocked off?)

A Drift? Good Question.
In this case you could use anything from a piece of Hard wood, Aluminium, Brass, Copper or Mild Steel to hold against the obrect to be removed and then stike it with the hammer,
This allows you to more accurately position the force required on the object to be removed.
