http://www.ebay.com/itm/130600136274?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

Or perhaps a Gixxer:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/140638908704?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649

For those prices I should grab one myself!!

Turbo kits for zx14r

http://zx14ninjaforum.com/messages.cfm? ... EA67193C0B

Discussion regarding clutches.

"You will also need to consider how to hold all that power. Simple clutch springs from Brocks or Barnett (they cost $30, and I think the Barnetts are the stiffest) will hold about 250whp from what I've read, but I think I'll also be getting a dual stage lockup clutch from cycle logic. That should easily hold all the power I'm going to throw at it, and they are very reasonable at $280."

Tricky that honda donk doesn`t come with any of the gear, inlet & fuel system & elecy & other bits etc

the Z is probly better value after trying to pay for & collect all the "right" bits for the CB

but still,,, they`re all damn good prices hey?

i`d love to be able to afford a hayabusa (or 2) right now while the yank dollar is so stuffed

The clutch also needs to be able to cope with the added weight... They are only made for holding the weight of the bike say 170kg plus a rider or 2. They might work but with the added weight, but they'll wear out a lot faster than normal

Fair call Dan, it why i'm looking into it. Having said that, considering all the bike conversions getting around I've not heard of a single issue with clutches.

Fear not. This country is on borrowed time economically. A collapse waiting to happen.

That's true... I haven't even heard of anyone doing a clutch on a bike, they must be made very similar to a cars standard but the less weight they deal with makes them last much longer? I've never had an issue with a clutch on a bike, apart from stomping it into gear after changing a broken clutch lever and not adjusting it properly.
Bikes generally do a lot less kms than cars too

Quaife Reverse Box.

http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/330648924148 ... 1423.l2649

Not as compact the one shown earlier and there is a chance buying a $600 paper weight.

Thinking through whether or not the driveshaft will be above or below the steering rack and whether or not I would need to run a dry sump. This may well provide much needed ground clearance (which means the motor would sit lower). If the motor sits lower, that means there is less fabrication involved with a "tunnel" to the rear.

Yes your right there Matt, I would probably in that instance stick with the ZX14 but I just love that Honda donk - the best of the bunch IMHO.

JC - does that reverse box sit inline?? I would like to see how they are setup. I dont think you would need that pan JC as the output shaft on them are mounted very low. You could always modify it later of course! Good buy on the Spax too - man this thing is coming together quick!!

yeah it`s for in-line but can be used for side-ways with the use of 2x chains & gears kits (if you know what i mean)
