havn't done much with mini exhausts yet but as a general rule if its alot louder inside the car then outside i would personally be looking for a leak/ break/ loose flange/ bad welding
you know just something that is letting the gas/ noise out before it should
just check it all over and make sure all it tight and there are no holes
failing all that put in some sound insulation under the carpet

there is this Yankie stuff that looks like tin foil that you stick to the inside of your car, under door trims, carpet etc...... I hear it's really good.

Sorry, the name escapes me tonight, but I might have it at work tomorrow.

Loader inside is somewhat understandable. Think of it like a guitar. A little vibration from a little string resonates through the hollow section and amplifies.
Start by seeing if you can rubber mount the exhaust line if it already isn't. That'll cut down vibration which is the cause of all sound.
Next, you can get sound deadening material, either in mat form or in a spray on tar like substance. We use this stuff at work which can easily cut noise of objects from 110Db to 80 quite easily. Less if you use more. The stuff is an inch thick and weighs a tonne, but it is the way it is made. It is layers of foil, sponge, a thin layer of lead and more foil.
You can get it thinner. I'll look into it if you want.

I got the same problem with Mo, but its bearable under 80km/h now. My brother got me this soft padding/insulation stuff. Its like a grey colour with colour speks through it. Light as. Insulated very well. Took the cabin noise from about 110db to about 40..!! (under 80km/h that is)

Only thing is that you have to make sure your car is water tight cause this stuff is like sponge so once it gets wet, it can get mouldy :(

What are you whinging about :?
Noiseness?
I thought that was the whole point. Dislike driving not noisy cars immensely
Loud is good .
Could hang your head out the window if you like?
Escape the interior noise?

If you want quiet buy a modern car! My car has a straight through muffler, probably a bit worn out coz it is a bit louder than it is supposed to be :) That makes heaps of noise and I absolutely love it. But I can't usually hear it over the induction noise anyway. Sound deadening? Never heard of it!

I'm tempted to fit straight cut drop gears to the engine I'm building. They sound awesome!
