Hello all, just after some advice on ride heights we have fitted hi-los and running on 10"x145 tyres?? Cheers tsb

2.5-3 fingers between front tyre and wheelarch works for me. 8)

Factory ride height or ground clearance for a Leyland Mini ( I,m just using this as a reference )

I agree with drmini and use 2 1/2 "fat fingers" between the top of the tyre and the wheel arch. This has worked for all North American driving...but I would go to at least 3 "fat fingers" for driving on Australia's highways, especially in NSW. Best hwy. was the Stuart in the NT.

27,000 kms. in the Clubman Window Van was hard on the front suspension during all of the driving related to the One Lap adventure. might have been a bit different with new rubber springs up front...but we used better used cones. But adj. trumpets and Koni Sport dampers helped.

As a note: stopped Christmas Eve in Mission to say hello to ice racer Nolan Kitchener. He had a customer's roundnose Van on the hoist. Fake rubber doughnuts (with Dunlop moulded in) were flat as pancakes.

hee hee,,, hey Nick, say hellow to Nolan for me will ya>? he dropped in here a few years ago & bought a few mokes, i was meaning to get over there one day & have a fang in his ice-racer but i`m allergic to flying :-) or rather allergic to the plane crashing while i`m inside it is more the point ;-)
