What is the STD diameter of a 1275cc piston?
and what is the diameter of a 0.080 thou over bore piston (1360)?

70.6mm is std 1275 bore size.
73.0mm is +.094" (1360cc) bore size.

Piston to bore clearance is around .0015"-.0035", depending whether they are cast or forged.

so 72.16mm is good enough so long as the block gets bored to suit?
Is that still 1360cc?

Nope that is +.060", = 1330cc. Still pretty good... 8)
Next size up from that is 72.5mm (GR pistons) = 1343cc.

Why overbore it heaps if no need, it's only worth pub points... :P

Hello... both mine are 1360 bore (73mm), so there is another 1 or 2 rebores left in both.
And I have a pile of std bore blocks too, so meh. :P
