I was looking at a Moke today that had been fitted with adjustable steadies to tip the motor forward about 10mm to give clearance for a HIF44 on a Minispares manifold.
It still has about 20mm clear of the headlight bucket with the radiator. You could probably fudge a bit more at the radiator if you played with the shroud and brackets to clear the fan.

im curious as to how the dashpot on the SU would not hit the bottom of the bonnet? It must be damn close and the top of the rear of the engine pokes up??
