Went looking for the fuel leak that had raw petrol spilling from my RHS float bowl. No sign of it.

Figure it must have been a little bit of debris stuck in the needle valve that's now clear, but changed the 2" of fuel hose on that side just in case.

Keeping the fire extinguisher handy, just in case.......

Helped carter_gt with wire wheeling his clubby and taking out dints
Why does he get to have a rust free shell?

Went and picked up my new accelarator cable and it looked a bit short.
Got home and turns out it was a choke cable.
So the mini is stuck in the middle off the driveway until i can be bothered to push it into the shed.

Rebushed the throttles on a pair of HS2's for my Morris 1100. It is running sweeter now!
I also discovered the Smiths PCV wasn't working very well so I am going to go for the Dr Mini Fuelmiser PCV 013 valve. It arrives tomorrow.
If I can get the twin SU's working properly I will stick it on the dyno before the week is over...

The 4 year old? silver tarp over the project Clubby van has had it, so I tore that up and binned it.
There are a couple of `perforations' (for want of a better word) in both back corners of the van roof- so after some wire brushing I anointed them with rust converter and fitted another tarp.
We will have a carport on the garage in another month- then I can drag the van into the garage and start on the bodywork. :P
It is getting a home acrylic paintjob on top of the original acrylic once it's had some sanding.

Decided that instead of pushing my Cooper out of the factory I would start it and reverse it out. Very bad idea... I think it blew out more smoke than a coal plant. The hard chromers factory opposite mine copped nearly all of the fumes and the workers had to evacuate the office for 20 minutes dos they couldn't breathe. very awkward moment... Stripped back my guards and floors on my clubby build and was about to spray them in shitty rattle can etch primer when a spray painter drove past and told me of cos apparently it's crap on cars. Waiting for my neighbour/painter to inspect the car to paint it in 2pac primer. Had a toy around and got the motor started in the mini van tucked up the back of the factory. Had to look through the 15 motors we have around the place to find one of the spin on oil filter mount thingos the only one we had was on the Stroker in the moke so I had to pull it out. which is easy cos it's only 4 screws and the whole front plate of the moke comes off. Fitted it up to the van. Poured fuel in the fuel bowl (not the air intake 123grosso hahahaha) cleaned the plugs, adjusted the dissy and made a make shift fuel tank out of a oil bottle and it almost started first go. Adjusted the idle and bled the clutch. Shame I couldnt go for a quick spin as it was boxed in up the back and the tires are flat. Btw it's for sale for 2K if anyones interested.

Removed the long things under the car that protects the fuel lines, brake lines and battery cable.
Image
It didnt come off the car like that, its the rusult of all the twisting
All good except the very last one. The captive nut had come loose at some point during its 40 years
Image
Image
So after using all my resourses (extremely limited) I ended up pulling the bolt through the floor, not happy
Image
So now im left with a hole in the floor albeit small but still a hole and a bent thingy, which probably can be straightened
