Nope, the (recently replaced) tarp is folded up on the shelf.

I'm doing it in acrylic lacquer for several reasons:
1. It's only a Clubby van...
2. It's cheaper than paying someone to do 2 pack and I'm retired now.
3. I've done a TAFE course on prep and painting acrylic and I have the gear.
4. You should NOT put 2 pack over acrylic- eventually the different expansion rates of the 2 paints will result in the 2 pack crazing in hot sun (which is what happened to Barney the pretend S).
5. I've been advised by my head TAFE teacher that if the original acrylic enamel/lacquer is sound, there is no need to go back to bare metal for an acrylic respray.

On top of the above, it really is dangerous (illegal in NSW) to paint in 2pack at home.

Painted the engine bay
Painted all the brackets for the engine bay
Cleaned up the wiring loom, fixed some bodge jobs in it

Fitted the heater then discovered it had too much Lucas smoke  I know, why didn't I try the fan before fitting it into the car?
Removed the heater and pulled the fan motor out and discovered a squashed wire which was earthing out :( I guess it had been that way for 30+ years?
Tested the heater fan and then re-installed heater into the car.
Installed the switch panel and then fitted an amp for the sub
